This model works in tandem with the Roomba i7 and s9 series vacuuming robots. Together they can coordinate an entire home cleaning effort even if you aren’t home. If you don’t have the Roomba, though, no problem.

The M6 uses a jet sprayer to saturate the floor in front of it, and the microfiber cloths work to scour the floor (without scratching) as they clean up the water or cleaning solution. The runtime of about 2 hours is impressive, too.

But, even if your floors take longer, the M6 has you covered. When the battery gets low, the M6 will return to the charging station and recharge the battery. It will also remember where it left off and resume cleaning when the battery is full.

The Braava models aren’t done yet. The iRobot Braava 380t is one of the biggest sellers of all time. It has a large space capacity and even knows where to go without the use of cameras or lasers.

This model uses Northstar navigation cubes for locating itself in your home. You can place the cubes around the room to be cleaned and the robot will stay in the boundary. The GPS signal is fairly strong and there haven’t been any reports of failure yet.

The battery isn’t the best, but it will run for about an hour. It doesn’t recharge itself or resume cleaning after a recharge either. This is because the charging dock is in such a way that you have to place the robot on its side on the cradle to recharge.

If you set the mopping robot to clean while you are gone, you will come home to it dead somewhere in the middle of your floor. However, your floor will be clean. This model also uses two different types of cleaning pads.

You can select sweeping mode and put the dry cloth on. It will run around and sweep up the dirt and dust on the floor so you don’t have too.

While this robot is missing some important features, it has enough to make you want it without feeling left out. The dual tank design is innovative and not found on any other robot.

Clean water is filled in the reservoir tank which is dropped onto the floor. The roller bar and suction power scrub the wet floor and suction up the dirty water into the collection tank. This keeps your clean and dirty water separated and your floors clean as well as dry.

The biggest downside is that there aren’t any containment options and you have to be careful around the carpeted areas. This robot will go wherever it can, regardless of the floor type underneath it.

iRobot is back again and this time they have a tiny little mopping robot that is as powerful as it is adorable. This model isn’t designed for very large spaces. For that you need to look at the Braava 380t or the M6.

However, for a small or medium sized kitchen and in your bathrooms, this little guy is a beast. It will mop your floors and can even manage to get places most other mopping robots cannot, like behind your toilet.

Unlike the 380t, though, the 240 has a trick up its sleeve. The Braava 240 has a vibrating cleaning head. This allows it to scrub your floors and get those stuck on messes that other robots can leave behind.

Not only that, but you also get the chance to see the magic in action. Wet or dry mopping is automatically selected by the robot. This is based on the type of pad you attach. A little color code on the pad is read by the robot so it knows how you want it to clean.

If you only want it to sweep up and dust the floors, the dry pad will tell the robot no water is needed. If you want to mop, though, just put on the wet mop pad and the robot knows what to do.

The S6 has a lot more suction power and like the S5, it is a vacuum first. On your carpeting and even hard flooring, there isn’t a lot of dirt, dust or debris that will get past this one.

When mopping, the results are about the same. However, this model has been upgraded to let you select how much water is released from the reservoir. You can control if you want a drier or wetter mopping experience with a little switch.

With the same 5200mAh battery you get well over 2 hours of cleaning time. Of course when the robot is mopping as well as vacuuming, that time is reduced quite a bit.

7. Kyvol Cybovac E31 Sweeping & Mopping Robot Vacuum

Not to be outdone by the Roborock line, newcomer Kyvol gives you the Cybovac E31. This is another all-in-one model that can also vacuum and mop at the same time. Like all models, though, there are disadvantages to this.

For the most part, this robot does exactly what it says it will do. It vacuums low and medium pile carpeting with enough power to get down deep in the carpet fibers. It will also sweep and vacuum hard flooring, getting in the grooves and along the edges.

When mopping, though, it is a true wet mop. A 300ml water tank is attached to the rear that wets the mopping pad, dragging it over the floor as the vacuum cleans. The mopping pad can get a little too wet, too fast, though.

When this happens, you will notice streaks on the floor. You can’t control the water volume like you can with the Roborock S6, but you can change the pad.

This model features four methods of control, though, which is becoming more and more rare. You have the local control which is a button on the robot to press when you want it to clean.

For the price you would expect a lot less than what you actually get. This water tank is a good size and the battery runs for a full 2 hours. The collection bin is a bit small, but it is washable (hand wash only) which makes maintenance lower and easier.

The 1-year warranty is a little disappointing, especially from such a new company. The mobile app controls are decent, but a little clumsy. Once you get the hang of it though, you will enjoy using this robot for daily cleanings.

There isn’t a mobile app to learn, instead this model uses a remote control. It is simple to use as well and is designed for those that don’t like messing with newer technology or the elderly that need simpler control options.

The battery is fairly strong and can run for almost 2 hours. However, in mopping mode this will drop a lot, usually down to about 60 minutes. It does use camera based navigation though, so collisions with the wall and random cleaning patterns are a thing of the past.

The biggest disappointment, though, is that there aren’t any containment options. Even with such smart navigation, without a mobile app, there is no way to control where it goes or when.
